Their website is expertly done, making me think that I would receive professional service from expert appraisers. After contacting them to sell some furniture in absolutely perfect condition, they called and asked me to bring the items in for "inspection". When I asked for a price estimate, Warren gave me a huge range in price for my items even after sending in detailed photos and item descriptions including original purchase prices. Without a pick up service, you can't expect people to go to the expense of renting a truck to drag items to you without a firm estimate in price. I understand that the price may be adjusted upon viewing the items, but certainly an initial price should be provided, so I know if it's worthwhile to bring the items to you or not (especially with the traffic in Toronto). Otherwise, why are you asking us to fill in your online form with photos and detailed explanations of the items including original purchase prices? I don't understand the working practices of this place. They need to improve their professionalism, and not give some "wet finger in the air" estimates over the phone.

Very large selection of rare and valuable antiques in great condition! The pricing ranges because of this quality assurance :) You will be dazzled by the amazing displays and the very friendly staff. There’s no accessible entrance to the building but there is plenty of parking on site! There’s a bit of everything in here and it is laid out so wonderfully it makes the shopping experience feel like an adventure. I was so chuffed to find vintage designer boxes such as Hermès and Dior. There’s a lovely large selection of chandeliers, furniture, collectibles, and just about anything else you could wish for in an antique shop :)

Around The Block has made my first year of consigning many family mementos and jewelry, a worthwhile and easy process. Stephanie and Martin kindly explained what will sell and what will not and successfully chose items from my collection that did sell. I can access my sales and inventory at anytime, online. And I became an immediate customer. Thank you to this delightful gem of a store and staff!

The store is expansive and filled with an impressive array of ancient and collectible items. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in unique and historical finds! A fabulous place to sell and buy. Warren was was nice and personable and a pleasure to deal with as were others at Around the Block. My items were professionally appraised and sold quickly. I would highly recommend this place and I am dealing with them again.

I will go back again. There were many very elegant items for sale. Also, importantly, the staff were approachable and courteous. I saw many vintage casserole dishes and lovely china. Too much to describe, really.

Very good quality consignment items - both big and small. Couple of good things about ATB - very nice jewelry and some great larger pieces including art. Helpful staff adds to the mix, including Warren who keeps the flow of quality goods coming in the door.
